The Canadian base-metals producer announced late Thursday that Union #2 ratified the multi-year deal, representing the last of four labor groups to reach terms with the company. The agreement concludes a period of industrial action that disrupted one of the region's notable copper operations.
Restoring Full Production
The strike, which commenced on Jan. 2, forced the Mantoverde facility to operate at roughly half of its normal capacity for several weeks. Following the ratification, Capstone Copper confirmed it has begun the process of ramping the mine back to full output to recover lost momentum.
