Chicago’s Gibsons Steakhouse to Anchor Historic Nashville Development
The historic 414 Union Street building in downtown Nashville is set to undergo a major transformation as Chicago-based Gibsons Restaurant Group secures a lease for the property’s ground floor. The new venue, arriving in spring 2028, marks the brand’s Tennessee debut and serves as the centerpiece for a wider revitalization project.
For Gibsons, the Nashville location follows years of searching for a site that matches the character of their Windy City roots. Steve Lombardo, CEO of the group, noted that the Union Street building offered the ideal blend of history and location. The expansion is expected to generate over 150 jobs and will feature a comprehensive menu including fresh seafood, a raw bar, and an extensive bourbon and wine program. Beyond the dining experience, the project aims to integrate the building into the daily fabric of the downtown community through a mix of hospitality, retail, and office spaces.
