Major League Soccer and TeamSnap Expand Elite Youth Training Curriculum

Competitive youth soccer coaches across North America now have direct access to professional-grade development tools, as Major League Soccer and TeamSnap unveil an exclusive training curriculum within the TeamSnap app, designed to bridge the gap between recreational play and the high-performance standards of the MLS NEXT youth platform.

Major League Soccer and TeamSnap Expand Elite Youth Training Curriculum

The new curriculum provides coaches of players aged U13 to U19 with tactical drills and structured practice plans derived from the same philosophies used by MLS NEXT academies. Produced at the San Diego Soccer Academy, the content features professional coaching staff and competitive players, offering a digital blueprint for long-term player development. These resources are now integrated into TeamSnap’s suite of platforms, including the specialized TeamSnap ONE app.

This expansion builds upon a broader collaboration established in 2023, which previously introduced foundational MLS GO videos for recreational players aged 4-14. By digitizing professional coaching methodologies, both organizations aim to standardize training quality for youth programs nationwide. Ali Curtis, Executive Vice President of Sporting Development at MLS, noted that the partnership focuses on making elite-level instruction accessible to a wider demographic of families and coaches, regardless of their geographical location.
