Sun Life Names Joseph Natale as Incoming Board Chair
Joseph Natale is set to succeed Scott Powers as chair of Sun Life Financial’s Board of Directors following the company’s annual general meeting on May 5, 2027. Powers will retire from the board upon completing his full term, marking a planned leadership transition for the Toronto-based insurance and asset management firm.
Powers expressed confidence in his successor’s ability to guide the company’s focus on financial security and digital transformation. Under the current board’s oversight, Sun Life has grown to manage $1.70 trillion in assets as of June 2026.
