The US$20 million cash acquisition grants Lindian full authority over the SARECO site, which includes not only the processing infrastructure but also two additional commercial warehouses spanning 15,500 square meters. This footprint provides the company with significant room for downstream expansion as it prepares to integrate the facility with its Kangankunde Rare Earths Project. Metallurgical testing conducted by ANSTO has already validated the site's capability, showing a 96% recovery rate for neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) from Kangankunde concentrate.

Lindian Resources Secures Full Ownership of Kazakhstan Processing Plant
Lindian Resources has finalized a deal to acquire the remaining 49% stake in the SARECO hydrometallurgical facility in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. By moving to 100% ownership, the Perth-based company gains total control over a rare earths processing plant that is one of the few commercial-scale operations outside of China.

Executive Chairman Robert Martin stated that initial plans for a joint venture were abandoned in favor of full control after due diligence highlighted the facility's strategic potential. With a recent A$100 million capital raise providing the necessary funding, Lindian is targeting the start of MREC processing in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company reports strong interest from buyers in the United States, Europe, and Japan, reflecting a broader market push to diversify rare earth supply chains away from dominant producers.
