Each unit, priced at $50, comprises a contract to purchase common stock and an interest in senior notes. The company has also granted underwriters an option to purchase an additional 5 million units to cover over-allotments. Duke Energy plans to list these corporate units on the New York Stock Exchange, with trading expected to begin within 30 days of issuance, pending regulatory approval.

A consortium of financial institutions is managing the offering, including Barclays, BofA Securities, Mizuho, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Truist Securities, and Wells Fargo Securities. The transaction is being conducted under an effective shelf registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
