Yiren Digital Claims RMB165 Million Saved Through AI Fraud Detection

The company’s risk management framework relies on a continuous loop of monitoring, analysis, and human oversight. By embedding the Hawkeye detection system and the DiTing decision-making engine into its pre- and post-loan processes, Yiren Digital processes approximately 30,000 risk credentials daily. These tools allow the firm to flag suspicious patterns, ranging from counterfeit documentation to sophisticated video-based fraud attempts, before they impact the company's balance sheet.

Ning Tang, Chairman and CEO of Yiren Digital, noted that the third-generation technology is now being offered as an exportable service to other financial institutions. The system draws on a blacklist database containing roughly 800 million records to refine its screening rules. Beyond automated filtering, the company maintains a governance structure where AI-generated work orders are escalated to specialists to ensure decisions remain consistent and reviewable under strict financial regulations.
