Mike Lindell Refuses to Concede Minnesota GOP Primary

Facing a double-digit loss in the Minnesota Republican gubernatorial primary, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is rejecting the results of Tuesday's election. Despite being projected as the clear loser against state House Speaker Lisa Demuth, the Trump-endorsed businessman is pointing to unspecified voting anomalies to justify his refusal to concede.

Mike Lindell Refuses to Concede Minnesota GOP Primary

Lindell, who has spent years promoting conspiracy theories regarding the 2020 presidential election, is now applying a familiar script to his own political defeat. When confronted with the Associated Press projection declaring Demuth the winner at 11:30 pm ET, Lindell dismissed the news outlet entirely. He insisted that his campaign would continue to monitor the remaining ballots, claiming his team is actively investigating irregularities in the tallying process.

Political commentators have been quick to highlight the irony of Lindell’s rhetoric. On Wednesday, Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough noted that the candidate is echoing the exact allegations he once leveled against Dominion Voting Systems. Former President Donald Trump, who had offered Lindell a total endorsement in July, previously praised his efforts regarding election integrity as a central strength of his campaign. Despite the high-profile backing, the primary results show Lindell trailing by more than 10 percentage points.
