While the top-line performance remained stable, the company's operating profit faced pressure, retreating to ¥1.61 billion from ¥1.81 billion a year earlier.
Divergent Earnings Performance
The decline in operational efficiency was also reflected in pretax figures, which fell to ¥1.89 billion from ¥2.00 billion. However, the bottom-line net profit saw a significant boost, rising to ¥1.32 billion. This growth translated directly to shareholder returns, with earnings per share climbing to ¥72.11, up from ¥58.68 in the prior-year period.
