The satellite industry landscape shifted on August 14 as Lynk Global and Omnispace officially completed their merger. The combined entity, branded as Elveo Mobile, aims to bridge global coverage gaps by delivering direct-to-device connectivity to existing mobile phones, targeting an expansive market of eight billion potential users worldwide.

Chief Executive Officer Ramu Potarazu emphasized that the network’s ability to process and adapt in space marks a fundamental shift in how mobile users access connectivity.
