Spotify Founder’s Neko Health Debuts US Scanning Clinic in Manhattan

More than 25,000 New Yorkers have already joined the waitlist for Neko Health, the diagnostic startup co-founded by Spotify CEO Daniel Ek. On September 24, the company officially plants its flag in the United States, opening a flagship scanning center at 300 Lafayette Street in the heart of SoHo.

Neko Health pairs proprietary body-scanning hardware with routine bloodwork and wearable device data to generate comprehensive health assessments. The move into Manhattan marks the company’s first American foothold, expanding a footprint that currently spans locations in Sweden and the United Kingdom. During a recent Series C funding round that brought in $700 million, the company reported that its technology has already processed 100,000 individual scans.

The venture enters a crowded market of tech-backed longevity and wellness firms. Competitors range from Dr. Mark Hyman’s Function Health—which recently bolstered its diagnostic capabilities by acquiring the startup Ezra—to high-profile longevity clinics like Fountain Life, backed by Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis. Even AI labs are entering the space; Midjourney is currently developing a body scanner integrated into a spa-like experience, with a San Francisco rollout slated for 2027.
