Brian Pursch Named VP of HR at Michael Baker International

In his new capacity, Pursch will collaborate with senior leadership to align human resources strategies with the company’s long-term business objectives. He is tasked with managing the firm’s team of HR Business Partners, focusing on succession planning, career development, and performance management to drive organizational growth. Tanya Currie, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, noted that Pursch’s track record in navigating corporate transformation will be instrumental in strengthening the firm’s internal culture and leadership pipelines.

Pursch’s career spans multiple sectors, including energy, technology, and manufacturing, with past tenures at organizations such as Kongsberg Maritime, EthosEnergy, and Wood Group. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and maintains his SHRM-SCP certification. He now joins the Pittsburgh-based firm as it continues to expand its footprint in infrastructure, consulting, and government services.
