Accels Shifts AI Token Management Toward Financial Infrastructure

Enterprise spending on AI tokens has tripled in twelve months, yet most firms lack the tools to forecast these ballooning costs. Singapore-based Accels is now moving beyond simple model routing, aiming to treat token consumption as a measurable financial asset rather than an unpredictable operational black box.

Accels Shifts AI Token Management Toward Financial Infrastructure

While Goldman Sachs projects a 24-fold increase in token consumption by 2030, current management remains tethered to spreadsheets and manual reconciliation. Raymond, CEO of Accels, argues that this disconnect prevents finance teams from treating AI inputs with the same rigor as other material resources. By integrating routing data with billing and credit assessment, the company intends to link actual usage patterns directly to a firm’s credit profile and financing terms.

Accels is currently expanding its routing platform to support 15 model providers and over 150 AI models via a single API. Beyond this, the firm is developing capabilities to help businesses treat tokens as both an operational input and a financial resource. Raymond emphasizes that competitive advantage in the AI era will belong to organizations capable of managing agent economics at scale, rather than those merely focused on model performance.
