Ski-Doo Expands Avalanche Safety Training for 18th Season
When an avalanche strikes, the people already on the mountain are the only ones capable of an immediate rescue. Recognizing that safety is a collective effort, Ski-Doo is launching its 18th annual series of free avalanche awareness seminars, inviting riders across North America to train alongside their peers.
In partnership with Backcountry Access (BCA), the 2026 season includes over 35 sessions across Canada and the United States. The curriculum blends classroom theory with hands-on practice, teaching participants how to use transceivers, probes, and shovels. Canadian sessions will be led by professional forecaster Marshall Dempster, while U.S. workshops are anchored by veteran educator Mike Duffy. Beyond the live events, the program provides ongoing support through the Ski-Doo Owner Zone and the SLEDucation series, ensuring safety knowledge remains accessible throughout the winter months.
