Sobi to Unveil New Gamifant Clinical Data in Rotterdam
As medical experts gather in the Netherlands for the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Histiocyte Society, Swedish biopharmaceutical firm Sobi is set to present fresh clinical findings on Gamifant. The company aims to bolster evidence regarding treatment and transplant survival outcomes for patients battling primary haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.
Beyond the pooled analysis, Sobi will share findings from a post-authorisation study focused on treatment-experienced patients in China, alongside two encore presentations examining emapalumab’s efficacy in primary HLH. The research highlights the drug's role in inducing rapid responses and facilitating successful bridging to curative hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), even in cases involving central nervous system complications or prior treatment failures. Gamifant remains the only approved anti-interferon gamma monoclonal antibody currently available for addressing uncontrolled hyperinflammation in these patient populations.
