The rapid-fire fundraising cycle underscores the current obsession with consumer AI agents capable of executing real-world tasks. Unlike chatbots that merely converse, Instinct manages travel bookings, grocery orders, and subscription cancellations. Its latest features include a concierge service for voice-based appointments and a network protocol allowing different agents to coordinate schedules between users.

AI Agent Instinct Hits $10 Billion Valuation After Series C
Barely a month after securing a $2.5 billion valuation, AI assistant startup Instinct has pulled in another $1 billion in a Series C round led by Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue. The massive infusion cements a $10 billion price tag for the platform, which launched its invite-only service in August 2026.

Despite this viral growth, the startup faces significant hurdles. Privacy advocates initially flagged the company’s data collection policies as overly aggressive, forcing a subsequent revision. Furthermore, Meta’s rival assistant, Muse, is aggressively capturing market share by integrating directly into Instagram and Facebook. While Muse dominates U.S. app stores, Instinct remains app-free, relying instead on SMS and text-based interfaces. Founder Noah Shinn declined interview requests, noting only that the capital will support the company’s push to handle the nuanced, daily demands of its user base.
