Endeavor Catalyst Raises $320M to Fund Founders Beyond Silicon Valley

While venture capital remains hyper-focused on the San Francisco AI boom, Endeavor Catalyst has secured $320 million for its fifth fund. The move reinforces a decade-long strategy of backing high-growth entrepreneurs in global markets, effectively betting that the next wave of unicorns will emerge from outside the traditional tech hubs.

Managing partners Allen Taylor and Jackie Carmel oversee a portfolio that has already produced 83 companies valued at $1 billion or more. The firm operates on a unique model: as the venture arm of the nonprofit Endeavor, half of the fund’s profits are reinvested to support the organization’s global mentoring network. This structure relies on a rigorous screening process that last year filtered 10,000 candidates down to just 88 inductees.

The firm typically joins rounds led by other institutional investors, deploying checks between $1 million and $3 million. With this latest injection of capital, the team plans to execute 40 to 50 investments annually. The geographic spread remains diverse, with 90% of the firm's capital deployed outside the United States. Europe currently stands as the fastest-growing region, even as Latin America retains the largest share of the portfolio.

Endeavor Catalyst’s backing has touched companies like the Italy-based Bending Spoons and Poland-born ElevenLabs, both of which now command multi-billion dollar valuations. The fund’s roster of 400 limited partners includes prominent figures such as Reid Hoffman, Bill Ackman, and the Dutch investment group Prosus. Notably, 30% of these backers are themselves founders from the Endeavor network, signaling a growing trend of successful entrepreneurs recycling capital into the next generation of startups.
