Nuix Launches Governance Framework for Enterprise Generative AI

Legal and investigative teams often struggle with the inherent unpredictability of large language models, creating a barrier to adoption in high-stakes environments. Nuix is addressing these risks with a new orchestration layer designed to inject forensic-grade auditability, cost controls, and data governance into generative AI workflows.

Nuix Launches Governance Framework for Enterprise Generative AI

The Nuix Neo Gen AI Framework functions as a secure bridge between a company’s chosen large language model and its own unstructured data. By leveraging a platform built on 25 years of research, the system provides a curated intelligence layer that ensures AI outputs remain grounded in verifiable facts. It tracks token usage to manage costs and enforces strict policy guardrails, ensuring that every AI-driven analysis meets the rigorous standards required for legal and corporate investigations.

Two core capabilities anchor the framework: Nuix Neo BYO AI and the Nuix Neo AI Agent. The BYO AI tool allows organizations to process entire datasets systematically rather than relying on sampling, providing citations and links back to original source items for every conclusion. Meanwhile, the AI Agent—currently available for early adopters—enables investigators to query data across text, metadata, and images using a conversational interface. Donn Hoffman, Chief Privacy Officer at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, noted that the ability to leverage AI advancements while remaining within a controlled, private environment has significantly accelerated their investigative workflows.
