The reported illnesses occurred between Nov. 7, 2025, and Jan. 8, according to federal health data. While no fatalities have been reported, the severity of the strain led to hospital care for nearly half of the identified patients. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine the full extent of the contamination.

The Recall and Consumer Safety

The FDA has recommended that Ambrosia Brands initiate a full recall of all Rosabella moringa capsules. While the company has currently agreed to recall only specific lots, regulators urge consumers to inspect any bottles with an expiration date in 2027. If a bottle matches the lot codes listed by the FDA, it should be discarded immediately and not shared or consumed.

Salmonella infection can cause serious health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations. Health officials advise that anyone possessing the affected supplements should follow disposal protocols to prevent further spread of the bacteria.
