Bausch + Lomb Targets $5.4B Revenue by 2026 After Q4 Sales Beat

Bausch + Lomb has issued a bullish multi-year outlook following a fourth-quarter revenue surge, forecasting sales to reach as high as $5.48 billion by 2026. While the eye-health specialist outperformed top-line expectations behind double-digit growth in its pharmaceutical division, a heavy tax provision widened its net loss during the final months of the year.

Bausch + Lomb Targets $5.4B Revenue by 2026 After Q4 Sales Beat

The Vaughan, Ontario-based company expects revenue to climb between 5% and 7% on a constant currency basis over the next two years. According to the company's guidance, revenue for 2026 is projected to hit $5.38 billion to $5.48 billion, aligning closely with analyst expectations of $5.39 billion. Management also targets a significant jump in adjusted EBITDA, aiming for $1 billion to $1.05 billion by the end of that period, up from an estimated $858 million in 2025.

Pharma Gains Drive Top-Line Growth

Total revenue for the quarter rose to $1.41 billion, surpassing the $1.39 billion consensus. This growth was fueled by consistent performance across all primary business units, particularly within the specialized medicine category. Performance highlights include:

    • The Pharmaceuticals division led the way with a 14% increase to $378 million.
    • Vision Care, the company’s largest segment, grew 8% to $778 million.
    • Surgical revenue climbed 8% to reach $249 million.
Despite the revenue beat, the bottom line reflected significant headwinds. Bausch + Lomb reported a net loss of $58 million, or 16 cents per share, a sharp increase from the $3 million loss recorded in the same period last year. The company attributed the decline primarily to an increased income tax provision. On an adjusted basis, earnings reached 32 cents per share, falling short of the 36 cents per share anticipated by FactSet analysts.
