JAIC Narrows Quarterly Losses Amid Revenue Growth

Tokyo-based JAIC Co. Ltd. reported a net loss of 59 million yen for the first quarter ending April 30, a notable improvement over the 86 million yen loss recorded during the same period last year. The results, filed under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a gradual shift in the company’s bottom line.

Revenue for the quarter climbed to 1.01 billion yen, up from 976 million yen in the prior year. Despite the top-line increase, the firm remained in the red, reporting an operating loss of 77 million yen compared to an 84 million yen loss in the previous cycle. Pretax figures followed a similar trajectory, narrowing to a loss of 76 million yen from 90 million yen.

Shareholders saw a corresponding improvement in per-share earnings, which stood at a loss of 64.41 yen, up from the 93.92 yen loss reported in the first quarter of 2025.
