Roam Charging Expands Electric Vehicle Hubs to Hatfield

The project continues a strategic partnership designed to integrate high-speed power access directly into the daily routines of club members across the United Kingdom.

Roam Charging Expands Electric Vehicle Hubs to Hatfield

The facility at Hatfield Business Park opens with an all-day event from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where company representatives will assist members with app registration and demonstrate the new hardware. This activation mirrors a previous deployment in Purley, which resulted in high utilization rates and sustained user engagement following a similar on-site launch.

To incentivize adoption, David Lloyd Clubs members are eligible for a complimentary Roam membership, a perk valued at £7.20 per month. This subscription grants users access to discounted energy rates, pricing AC charging at 51p per kWh and DC charging at 64p per kWh, compared to standard rates of 59p and 72p respectively. James Randall of Roam noted that direct interaction with members remains a priority to ensure a seamless transition to electric driving. The Hatfield location serves as the latest step in the company’s broader effort to scale its charging network through high-traffic commercial partnerships.
