Century Communities is set to debut its latest North Carolina residential project, Cedar Hollow, with a grand opening weekend scheduled for June 19 through June 21. Located just off I-40, the new Hickory community offers a range of one- and two-story homes starting in the $300s, targeting buyers seeking both modern amenities and regional connectivity.
The developer will host the primary event on June 20 at 11 a.m., featuring model home tours, refreshments, and a community giveaway. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce is slated for June 30. Division President Chris Suttles noted that the project is designed to blend small-town atmosphere with proximity to major hubs like Asheville, Winston-Salem, and Charlotte.
Residences at the site span up to 2,507 square feet with floor plans accommodating up to five bedrooms. Standard interior finishes include 9-foot ceilings on the main floor, quartz countertops, and LG stainless-steel appliances, alongside the proprietary Century Home Connect smart home package. Structural options include private studies, lofts, and covered patios.
The development is situated within 5.5 miles of downtown Hickory, offering access to local landmarks such as Lake Hickory, the Hickory Motor Speedway, and L.P. Frans Stadium. Families will find the site located within two miles of local elementary, middle, and high schools. Beyond traditional sales, the company is leveraging its online homebuying platform, which allows purchasers to secure contracts electronically while maintaining the option to work with independent real estate agents.
