The concert series, produced by Ethara in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, represents a strategic expansion of the race week entertainment program. By introducing classical music to a schedule traditionally dominated by pop and electronic acts, organizers aim to diversify the cultural offering surrounding the Formula 1 finale.
David Powell, Chief Portfolio and Strategy Officer at Ethara, noted that the addition of Bocelli is intended to bring a new dimension to the event, which already features performances from artists such as Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson, and Imagine Dragons. The Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour performance serves as the centerpiece for the new series, highlighting the enduring commercial success of an album that remains the best-selling Italian-language record in history.
