Velocity Clinical Research Deploys Slope Software Across 70 Global Sites

By integrating Slope’s inventory management platform across 70 locations in the U.S. and Europe, Velocity Clinical Research is shifting its site selection process from manual guesswork to data-driven readiness. The move aims to streamline supply logistics and reduce administrative bottlenecks in the clinical trial lifecycle.

Velocity Clinical Research Deploys Slope Software Across 70 Global Sites

The strategic partnership follows a successful pilot program where 31 Velocity sites independently adopted Slope’s software. According to Nicholas Spittal, Chief Operations Officer at Velocity, this grassroots adoption provided the necessary proof that the platform could handle complex inventory tracking while improving operational efficiency. The software now allows the network to monitor clinical supplies and trial equipment in real-time, providing immediate visibility into which facilities are prepared to launch new studies.

For Slope, the collaboration marks a significant expansion of its footprint in the research sector, where it currently supports over 2,400 sites globally. CEO Rust Felix noted that by reducing the administrative burden on front-line research staff, the partnership addresses a core industry pain point: the mismanagement of essential trial equipment. Beyond day-to-day site operations, Velocity plans to feed this equipment data into its broader infrastructure to accelerate study startup times and minimize supply waste, ultimately strengthening its competitive position when bidding for new pharmaceutical and biotechnology trials.
