With over 35 years of industry experience, Joe Masi has been named Senior Vice President of Operations for Davidson Hospitality Group’s heritage brand vertical. Masi transitions to the Atlanta-based firm to oversee operating standards and performance across a portfolio that includes assets like the Hyatt Regency Monterey.

Masi joins Davidson following a tenure as Executive Vice President of Operations at Remington Hotels, where he managed a collection of 125 properties. His career has focused on aligning operational strategy with the objectives of private equity firms and institutional investors, emphasizing both guest satisfaction and long-term asset value. At Davidson, he will be responsible for refining practices within the company’s foundational operating vertical, which currently manages established brands across the United States.

Chief Operating Officer Jason Reader noted that Masi’s background in organizational development and his track record of high-performance team building were key factors in the appointment. The Davidson Hotels division serves as a core component of the company’s broader hospitality management business, which oversees 88 hotels and resorts alongside extensive food and beverage operations. Masi is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, holding a degree in Hotel/Restaurant/Institutional Management.
