Mike Doss Named CEO of Global Cellulose Fibers

Doss arrives at GCF with a mandate to drive expansion into biomaterials and leverage the company’s existing mill infrastructure. His immediate priorities involve assessing the firm’s long-term strategy while maintaining the operational stability of its seven pulp mills and two converting facilities. The company, which produces materials for hygiene and paper products, generated approximately $2.5 billion in revenue during 2025.

Clay Ellis, who guided the business through its initial period as a standalone entity, will focus his advisory role on supporting the leadership transition. Board Director Anne McEntee noted that the change is designed to advance the company’s broader operating agenda. With a workforce of 3,300 employees across eight countries, GCF aims to build on its market position by prioritizing innovation in its core specialty pulp offerings.
