The recognition validates the airline's long-standing strategy of premium curation at 30,000 feet. Laurent-Perrier’s Grand Siècle, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, took the top prize for Business Class Sparkling Wine, praised for its layered complexity. In the innovation category, the airline earned accolades for selecting Sweden’s Oddbird Blanc de Blancs, a de-alcoholized sparkling wine that caters to the rising demand for organic, vegan, and non-alcoholic options.

EVA Air Secures Double Gold at Cellars in the Sky Awards
A panel of international experts in London has awarded EVA Air two top honors at the 2026 Cellars in the Sky competition. The Taipei-based carrier outperformed peers to secure Gold in both the Business Class Sparkling Wine and the newly introduced Drinks Innovation categories, setting a benchmark for in-flight hospitality.
Established in 1985 by Business Traveller, the awards rely on blind tastings to evaluate the quality of airline beverage programs. EVA Air’s latest success follows a history of performance in these rankings, including past Gold wins for its Business Class cellar. By integrating high-end traditional champagne with modern, health-conscious alternatives, the carrier aims to differentiate its onboard experience as it prepares to expand its network to Washington, D.C. later this month.
