Founded in 2020, Aampe specializes in assigning a dedicated AI agent to every customer, allowing brands to bypass traditional campaign rules in favor of real-time, behavior-based personalization. The startup currently serves over 30 clients across the U.S., Europe, and Asia-Pacific, including companies like Swiggy, Grab, and Taxfix. MoEngage Acquires Aampe to Power Autonomous AI Marketing Agents
Indian customer engagement firm MoEngage has acquired San Francisco-based startup Aampe in an all-cash deal reportedly worth tens of millions of dollars. The move signals a strategic shift toward autonomous AI agents, aiming to displace legacy marketing giants like Salesforce and Adobe by replacing segment-based messaging with individualized, behavioral-driven automation.

Dodda views the integration as a competitive lever against established enterprise platforms. With MoEngage recently securing multiple multi-million-dollar contracts from clients migrating away from Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Experience Cloud, the company intends to leverage Aampe’s decision-making technology to accelerate this trend. The acquisition follows a significant $280 million funding round for MoEngage roughly six months ago, positioning the firm to aggressively scale its move toward autonomous enterprise applications that handle targeting, content selection, and delivery timing without human intervention.
