Dewar’s Launches 19-Year-Old Champions Edition for U.S. Open

The release continues a partnership between the whisky brand and the USGA that began in 2021. Master Blender Stephanie Macleod developed the expression by sourcing wine barrels from the Southampton winery to create a profile that bridges Scottish tradition with the local terroir of the tournament’s host region. The resulting spirit, matured in ex-bourbon and sherry casks before its final stage in Cabernet Franc wood, features notes of violet, blackcurrant, and cinnamon.

Beyond the limited-edition bottle, which carries an MSRP of $79.99, Dewar’s remains the official cocktail sponsor of the championship. The brand is promoting its signature Lemon Wedge—a blend of Dewar’s 12 Year Old, lemonade, and club soda—at the event. This latest release is currently available at select spirits retailers nationwide, serving as the company’s annual tribute to the intersection of professional golf and whisky culture.
