True Green Capital Management Expands UK Solar Portfolio
Westport-based True Green Capital Management acquired 20.3 megawatts of operating solar capacity from Gresham House Renewable Energy VCT 1 PLC and VCT 2 PLC on June 22. The deal encompasses six long-standing UK projects, marking the firm's second successful take-private acquisition of UK-listed energy assets.

Co-founder Panos Ninios noted that the transaction reinforces the firm’s strategy of targeting specific segments of the public market where it can apply its specialized sector knowledge. Managing Director for Europe Sam Salisbury emphasized that as these assets mature, the company’s ability to execute repowering and technical improvements will be the primary driver for investor returns. Shoosmiths provided legal counsel for the acquisition, which adds to the firm's broader portfolio of over $2.3 billion in distributed solar and storage investments across the U.S., the UK, and France.
