The foundation plans to distribute $150,000 each year over the next decade to a single nonprofit organization. This support targets programs designed to reduce isolation and build resilience among military families, specifically those navigating complex life transitions like deployment, relocation, and reintegration into civilian life. The funding will also support community-based health hubs that offer mental health resources and wellness programming.

Melissa Skottegaard, board chair of The Cigna Group Foundation, described the grant as a reflection of Cordani’s long-standing focus on expanding care access for veterans and military families throughout his tenure. The program is now accepting applications from nonprofits across the United States. Interested organizations have until July 30, 2026, to submit requests for the $150,000 annual award, with the first grant term scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027.
