Jennifer Taylor, president and CEO of the council, emphasized that the organization’s new mission centers on four core pillars: networking the regional ecosystem, amplifying the industry’s voice, developing a future-ready workforce, and deepening member engagement. This shift comes as the technology landscape undergoes rapid transformation, requiring closer collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector to maintain competitive momentum.

To execute this vision, the council elected Gil Dussek, CEO of Gunnison, as the new board chair for a two-year term beginning July 1. Alongside a diverse cohort of 20 new directors for the Class of 2029, the leadership team will navigate the integration of emerging technologies into the regional economy. The board’s composition reflects Northern Virginia’s broad technical base, featuring executives from firms like AWS, Micron, and Dominion Energy, as well as academic leaders from George Mason University and Virginia Tech.
