The hospitality industry has seen EBITDA margins slide from 30 percent to 20 percent over the last decade, a decline Dean attributes to broken operating models rather than a lack of software. AI Hospitality Group seeks to bridge this gap by functioning as an AI-native services company. Instead of selling dashboards to existing operators, the firm takes full responsibility for property P&Ls, deploying a 60-agent autonomous system to handle accounting, revenue management, and recruiting.

Former Remington CEO Sloan Dean Launches AI-Native Hotel Operator
Sloan Dean, the former CEO of Remington Hospitality, has launched AI Hospitality Group, the first hotel operating firm designed to replace traditional back-office labor with autonomous AI agents. By signing management agreements directly, the company aims to reverse a decade of margin erosion for U.S. hotel owners.

This shift allows human staff to focus exclusively on guest-facing roles. The company is backed by $7.5 million in seed funding led by Rackhouse Venture Capital, with participation from Sierra Ventures and Dynamo Ventures. Joining Dean are CTO Kishan Dahya, a specialist in agentic infrastructure, and COO Eve Moore, formerly of Magna Hospitality Group. The startup is currently launching pilot programs at The Ameswell Hotel in Mountain View and across properties managed by Parable Hospitality to prove the model’s efficacy in real-world environments.
