EYKON Divests Water Metering Arm to Sensus International

The transaction marks a significant portfolio evolution for EYKON, formerly known as Landis+Gyr EMEA. By shedding the water metering division, the company aims to concentrate its resources on the utility sectors where it maintains the largest scale and deepest customer ties. Sensus International, which specializes in thermal energy and water infrastructure, will absorb the business to bolster its existing market footprint.

Alexander Henschel, CEO of EYKON, noted that the firm remains committed to its long-term strategy of enhancing utility infrastructure through digital connectivity. Despite the divestment, EYKON has pledged to honor all existing customer contracts to ensure continuity and performance standards remain intact throughout the transition. The deal underscores the broader strategy of parent company AURELIUS, which frequently executes carve-outs to streamline its holdings and drive operational focus across its global private equity portfolio.
