Insurify Hits 100,000 Policies With Weekly Payment Model

With household budgets strained by inflation, more American drivers are abandoning traditional monthly insurance premiums in favor of bite-sized payments. Insurify announced today that its weekly-pay program, Insurify Car, has surpassed 100,000 active policies, signaling a shift in how consumers manage essential vehicle coverage amid rising living costs.

Insurify Hits 100,000 Policies With Weekly Payment Model

The Cambridge-based marketplace designed the service to eliminate the high upfront costs that often prevent people from obtaining state-minimum coverage. Instead of funding a full month or more at once, users can secure a policy with as little as $29 down. This structure targets the nearly 50% of financially vulnerable Americans who must frequently adjust their bill payment schedules to align with irregular income streams.

Founder and co-CEO Snejina Zacharia noted that after analyzing 250 million insurance quotes, the company identified the initial down payment—rather than the total rate—as the primary barrier to entry. By allowing customers to pay for just seven days of coverage at a time, the model mirrors the paycheck-to-paycheck reality of many households. The service is currently available in 14 states, including high-cost insurance markets like Florida, Texas, and Michigan, which together account for a significant portion of the program's growth.

Beyond flexibility, the platform emphasizes speed, with the average user obtaining a quote in two minutes and finalizing coverage in four. Once enrolled, customers manage their policies and payments directly through an online portal, offering a digital-first alternative for drivers who need immediate, budget-conscious protection.
